Our Services

The idea of SALT was God inspired!  SALT, initially was meant to address substance abuse and adolescents, but it never gained ground, because the ground was not fertile for the seed. But we couldn't shake the idea and decided to be more inclusive in our approach and include adults too. We knew that substance use and abuse was pervasive among the youth, but it also impacted adults and the elderly as well. Further, we knew drug and alcohol abuse was more like a symptom then a cause, the causes being one's socio-economic status, physical, mental/behavioral health, education level and social status all of which pose as barriers to a quality life that is free from illegal and legally obtained stimulants and so SALT became Sustaining Adults and Lionhearted Teens.

Social Services

We believe in partnering with the many social services in and around our community that are private, public, and federally funded to provide and meet the needs of our clients. Social services that consist of obtaining personal identification cards and documents (social security cards, birth certificates, driver licenses, and state identification and voter registration), housing, physical and behavioral/ mental health services, and so much more.

Ignorance is not bliss and knowledge is not your enemy, but wisdom is a true friend! A building can not stand without a strong foundation, nor can a human being stand up right and provide or survive without the ability to make sound decisions concerning themselves and those around them. Which is why we partner with private, public and federal agencies to help our clients obtain tried and true information that will help them achieve academic success one granule at a time.

According to the holistic medicine philosophy, one can achieve optimal health -- the primary goal of holistic medicine practice -- by gaining proper balance in life.
